Make Your Own Ringtones 25

Posted on May 12, 2011 by Jennib And Friends

Do you not like the huge selection of ringtones on your cell phone? Can you not find a ring tone in the mass library that has been accumulated on the web? There are free ringtones everywhere, along with an even larger amount of ringtones you have to pay for. It is possible to find almost any song that has ever been sung somewhere on the web and it is probably in both MP3 and ringtone format. However if you are bored with these and no longer like any of hem it is now possible to make your own ringtones.

There are new ringtone composers that allow you to make your own ringtones just as you want them. Some of these composers consist of entering a certain key-press sequence to make certain melodies. I saw one that gives up different key commands for each note and then other key commands to lengthen or short the note. It appears as if you can now become and amateur composer and actually write music on your cell phone.

I have yet to hear any of these self composed ringtones but I have to say I am a little curious about what they sound like. When you think about it, it seems as though they would sound very rough and remedial as it can not really be possible to use every note available in music to make that music on your cell phone. And what does it sound like? A piano, a singer, a guitar. I admit I don’t know much about music but I am a little confused about this as well.

I guess that this is just the next step in cell phone technology, used to satisfy the computer and music savvy people that have become bored with conventional ringtones.

The Rudest Ringtones!? 25

Posted on May 11, 2011 by Jennib And Friends

The rudest ringtones ever!!
These are quite possibly the rudest ringtones on the planet, but clearly a massive market for them! Just type rude ringtones into any search engine and www.singmyring.com is up there every time. I mean, these ringtones do not hold back at all so if you are easily offended then stay away, but for most of the open minded I guarantee you’ll get a laugh out of these! You will definitely have your friends in stitches if your mobile just happens to go off in the bar, but could also be rather embarrassing if your standing in line at the bank!

Check out SingMyRing.com’s funny ringtones too, not at all foul mouthed, just some good humour in the form of ringtones, and I must say very catchy! All of the ringtones on SingMyRing.com are completely unique and are made by the company itself so you won’t hear any copy cat ringtones here. Everything on the website is priced at £1, the cheapest on the net as as I can find, (prices to other countries vary), but if that still sounds like too much money then SingMyRing also has a section of free ringtones in exchange for your email address, (validation required) not a bad swap if you ask me!

I’m pretty clued up on the ringtone market and know that SingMyRing.com are the new kids on the block and definitely the ones to watch out for, they are already selling to 32 countries over 3 continents and have only been online for 9 months! Move aside the crazy frog there’s a new kid in town!

Mosquito Ringtone: Unbelievable 0

Posted on May 10, 2011 by Jennib And Friends

I was browsing through the internet looking for articles about free ringtones and I was able to open a link about a so-called Mosquito ringtone. The summary stated that it was a high-pitched frequency ringtone that adults can’t hear, perfect for kids and teenagers who send text messages during class, the best part about it is that they don’t get caught. Is this for real?? I didn’t believe it at first so I read some more.

Here’s what I’ve discovered:

Yes, the Mosquito Ringtone does exist!!!

The Mosquito ringtone was invented way back in 2005 by a British Inventor named Howard Stapleton. The main objective of the invention was to keep kids from loitering outside of shops at night. Like how a whistle would affect dogs or how rats react to high-pitched sounds, the main idea was to drive teenagers by using super high frequency sounds. I was able to hear the sound and I thought my ears would explode.

The idea was to make the storefront uncomfortable for kids and teenagers while adults stay unaffected. The product was marketed and was originally named as an ultrasonic teenager repellant which is kind of similar to the ultrasonic dog repellant which is used to ward off dogs from “desecrating” on frontyards.

The Mosquito ringtone produces a sound similar to a Mosquito, an ear-splitting 17.4KHz sound wave. The reason why adults can’t hear the sound is because of an aging condition called Presbycusis.

Hearing experts describe Presbycusis as an “aging ear”. They stated that at the age of 20, the human ear starts to lose its ability to hear the highest human range frequencies and this gets worse as the person gets older.

The Mosquito ringtone was a wildfire and teens began to give different names to it such as the “Teen Buzz”, “Adult Proof”, “Mozzy Tone”, “Ultra Sonic Ringtone” and so much more.
