Learn How To Host A Delightful Thanksgiving Tea-Party! 0

Posted on December 05, 2010 by Jennib And Friends

Have you ever wanted to host your own Thanksgiving Tea Party but don’t know how to go about doing it? Leftovers from your Thanksgiving festivities the night before will really make great additions in your own tea party menu list.

An afternoon or brunch tea event doesn’t need to be fancy or frilly but it can also just be just relaxed & comfortable. The mood will actually just depend on how you will set it up. So that’s where most of the hostess role comes into play.

Thanksgiving Brunch

A lot of people usually snack the whole day during Thanksgiving, and just when your turkeys finally done with its trimmings your guests are already full and now your efforts might not be appreciated by everyone. Does this sound a bit familiar?

This should be the year that you try another approach in setting those bowls with chips, nuts & some snack treats since everyone eats on the whole day. Use some trays of sandwiches perfect for tea, perhaps some tray full of fresh vegetables, or scones will do, then some beautiful pot containing delicious steaming tea which you have prepared and may be served as your brunch option or simply perhaps your advanced lunch to guests who stayed overnight and of course for everyone in your family who is looking to satisfy those hunger pangs.

Perhaps serve them some really good oolong tea which is great in aiding digestion then finally once Thanksgiving dinner has been prepared, everyone would be enjoying that great little feast since your guests’ hunger were satisfied beforehand and wouldn’t feel the need to just fill up on those dips, chips & nuts.

Shopping on a Thanksgiving Weekend

Planning on getting that shopping-spree together with family and friends during your Thanksgiving weekend just to cross off those heavy Christmas shopping list? Invite your family or friends to go back in your lovely house to be able to relax and enjoy a hot cup of great tea.

When shopping the

Tasty Thanksgiving Recipe: Why not Celebrate with Nutritious Food 0

Posted on November 29, 2010 by Jennib And Friends

Healthy Recipes on the eve of Thanksgiving…does this sound unusual plus uninteresting?

When we think of high caloric recipes for instance stuffed turkey, rich creamy sauce, the buttered mashed potatoes and also pumpkin pies, then the word healthy does not seems to be a perfect adjective to be used. So why not experiment with some unusual recipe which is healthy as well as tasty?

For my family, Thanksgiving Day is a very favorable day and we celebrate it in an enormous way by welcoming our near and dear ones for the dinner. So for this Thanksgiving Day special, i invented few ideas which i am going to share with you in this article. I love testing with distinct ingredients along with flavors. Don’t worry.nothing much I am going to do.just easy modifications to the usual Thanksgiving meals.

Here are given various adjustments which I did for the normal Thanksgiving Day menu:

Turkey: turkey is a delicacy and can become the attractive menu of your holiday meal or any other celebration for example Thanksgiving Day. Turkey is a really lean animal plus contains less fat. But when you basted it in butter, it becomes high caloric and fatty food. So what Idid here, instead of butter, I used olive oils and baked it. With this wholesome adjustments, i made the turkey more delicious and healthy too.

Bread: in general we use white flour for making bread. But This time i preferred to make with wheat flour and thus i serve the bread with baked turkey.

Good Gravy: you know gravy is one of the greatest culprits on the dinner table. Instead of using turkey drippings, i used the vegetable oil while making the gravy. You can also opt for preparing low-fat broth-based gravy or vegeterian gravy instead.

Dessert: dessert could be the last but not the least course of the meal. Instead of preparing cheesecakes and various kinds of pieswhich are most often loaded with creams, nuts as well as caramel, I

Healthy Thanksgiving Recipes – Budget Meal Planning for November 0

Cooking Thanksgiving Turkey and Turkey Leftovers

The festive season brings with it both joys and stresses.  And the place where the tensions are often most evident is in the kitchen!  If you want to avoid being harassed over the holidays, a modicum of thinking ahead can avert potentially fraught situations.  Planning your healthy Thanksgiving recipes is the first step.  You’ve got the recipe for cooking Thanksgiving turkey  But what to do with the turkey leftovers? Turkey a la King is a great way of producing an entirely new meal with the previous day’s turkey.  Turkey Burgers with Coriander, Soy and Pickled Ginger also ring the changes and give a slightly fusion twist to a traditional recipe.

Ground Beef Casserole Recipes and Simple Chicken Recipes

However, November is not ALL about Thanksgiving!  We all have three weeks of meals to produce before then.  This needn’t be a chore if you plan wisely.  The trick is to try and get another meal out of a main meal.  For example:  Shepherd’s Pie Recipe on one night will easily make a reappearance as a glamorous Meat Pie Recipe, complete with light puff pastry.  Oven Baked Whole Chicken as a main meal could become a delicious Chicken Pasta Bake with Pesto Sauce and Parmesan Crust.  Your Best Grilled Salmon Recipe could then double as Fresh Salmon Croquettes.  So, you can see, that with a little monthly meal planning, putting nutritious daily meals on the table needn’t be too onerous.

Fresh Pumpkin Recipes

Autumn Meal Planning wouldn’t be complete without an offering of Pumpkin Recipes.  Of all pumpkins, Butternut Squash is my favorite for its intense, nutty flavor.  Using vegetables  that are bountiful at this time of year makes sense if you are trying to
