Posted on December 30, 2010 by Jennib And Friends

One of the best ways to jazz up your phone is to load it up with ringtones of your choice. Fortunately, there are many free ringtones that you can get free every time. With the power of the internet, you can easily download ringtones of any kind. There are a lot available on the net and you will surely find one that will suit your needs.

If you want free ringtones, you can also create one yourself. There are many software applications that you can use in order to convert a particular audio into a ringtone format that your cell phone will support. You can simply choose an audio from a movie or a song, clip the audio into a reasonable length for a ringtone and convert it.

A lot of these applications are not free and you have to pay in order to use the service. If you are willing to spend money on ringtones, it’s best that you download a trial version of the software first and see if it suits your needs. However, you have to know that there are also free programs available although they might not be as advanced as the paid ones.

A lot of phone websites and cell phone manufacturers also provide ringtones to users for free or for a low cost. However, there might be some agenda behind the freebies so make sure that you read them before downloading the ringtones. There can catches such as limited number of ringtones that you can download for a given day, or a limited number of free ringtones.

You can easily find a variety of ringtones if you just know how to search for one. When you search for websites that offer free ringtones, chances are that you will be getting a huge number of search results that offer you several ringtone options. Some sites offer ringtones that you can download right away while there are also others which require you to sign up.

When downloading ringtones, make sure that you scan the files with an anti-virus software before opening them. There is always a chance that you happened to come by a malicious site with downloadable viruses, malware and adware disguised as ringtones. Always be wary and scan everything you download especially when they are free and are very easy to get.

You can also download ringtones for free from mobile carriers. There are many networks which offer free ringtones to their subscribers on a given day. Some may only offer this as a promo so make sure that you are absolutely sure that the ringtones are free before you download them. Downloading ringtones through carriers are often relatively easy and instructions are given out to subscribers.

Ringtones that you can use free of charge are one of the best things about having a cell phone. You will always keep your phone current with ringtones that matches your tastes and preference. All you have to do is look out for promos from your carriers or search the web and you will surely find relevant results.

Scott Hamilton Late Night Christmas Eve Jazz Music CD Review 6

Posted on December 07, 2010 by Jennib And Friends

Late Night Christmas Eve is the latest release from Jazz Superstar Scott Hamilton, and is another winner by this talented musician.

It’s a rare day indeed that I get a CD from an artist that I can truthfully say does not have a bad track in the bunch. I’m more than happy to announce that’s exactly what I must say about this one. There simply is NOT a bad one in the bunch. No fillers here at all, with each song standing tall on it’s own.

Late Night Christmas Eve is a pleasantly varied, mix of 11 tracks that are very well written songs by this clearly outstanding artist. Most of the songs display a lot of the kind emotion that makes for a really great listen. Clearly drawing from what I can only imagine are him own personal experiences. At different points touching on the most real emotions like love, and the pain of failed relationships can certainly be heard.

If you’re a Scott Hamilton fan, or just a fan of Jazz music this is a CD your collection simply should not be without.

While this entire CD is outstanding some of my favorites are track 3 – Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, track 8 – Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, and track 11 – Christmas Love Song

My Bonus Pick, and the one that got Sore [...as in "Stuck On REpeat"] is track 1 – The Christmas Song. Wow!
