Just Ideas – Tips for your DIY Gifts 0

Posted on November 28, 2010 by Jennib And Friends

TIPS 1 -  Create your own CD for someone who really special.

You can write down what you want to tell him/her, and compose a song. If you have a good voice and can play music instrument, you may sing and play by yourself; or you can simply sing a song for him/her; or even, you don’t have to sing or play at all, you just record anything you think appropriate and make it sound like a Radio Program. The person who receives such a gift would not only be surprised, but also touched by you.

TIPS 2 - Design a calendar for your special one.

Get a few great pictures, those seize the moments of yours, yours & his/hers, and your friends’.
Mark out all the special days, from holidays to special dates of you two, for example, the day you met, the day he/her won a competition, etc.

                  * Custom Desk Calendar

TIPS 3 - Poster.

With pictures of you and your friend, you can also make them into a poster and get it framed. Serve the purpose well and is treasured always.

                    *  Poster Set

TIPS 4 - Self-autographed goody mug.

The material you need is a blank mug. Paint anything you like or paste pictures on them. And this is not the end. Fill the mug with small gifts, stuff like candies, key rings, chocolates, and the best part – fresh rose petals. You can also put in small slips of paper with memorable things written on them, rolled and tied with color ribbons. Make it colorful and adorable.

Free Ringtones: Getting Your Music For a Song 10

Posted on November 21, 2010 by Jennib And Friends

Free ringtones never really seem to be free. You can sample up a storm on the mp3 ringtones and the polyphonic ringtones. Wallpapers, ringtone rippers and complimentary access to unlimited ringtones, no subscription required! Then in plain sight at the bottom of the page listing your favorite songs, it gives you the pricing for your monthly subscription. Where is the free that was promised? You can get several ringtones for nothing from the company providing your phone. But when searching for new and popular ringtones, the three-dollar-a-pop price tag from your company and from magazines turns you off. With a little time invested, you can score those ringtone freebies.

Unpaid bloggers and forum users will give you a free ride on their homemade ringtones. If you are a fan of classical music, those songs are free of copyright and are easier to get a hold of for ringtones. The National Anthem falls under the same reasoning and should be gratis. If you like a certain kind of offbeat ringtone, you are more likely to find a website that has that genre for free. Movie music, anime ringtones and/or cartoon ringtones have a good little fan base you can work with. It’s when you start looking for ringtone handouts on top 40 music, regardless of genre, that it gets sticky. The older or the stranger the ringtone, the more likely it is to be free.

There are genuine sites out there that have thousands of free ringtones. There is a look to the sites that are going to stick it to you that you’ll need to be familiar with. If the homepage is trumpeting the unlimited downloads from thousands of artists, albums and genres but then has the bottom of the page covered in small print, skip it. If the page starts out asking for your mobile number, or your email address so they can send your amazing free ringtones membership materials out to you, skip it. When you do get that confirmation email, you’ll click to activate your membership and you can

Free, Legal Music Downloads – Where to 0

Posted on November 19, 2010 by Jennib And Friends

Music – there can be said so many things about it, but there’s so little time to do it. After all, one could write a “Music Bible,” and there still would be enough room for at least another dozen of similar books. Music brings people together, but also can start wars, but most interesting thing about music, these days, is how people reach it, and the real value music has. Why, that’s what I’ll tell you next, because I always thought that behind the innocent “free & legal music downloads” phrase there’s hiding something really evil…

When talking about recorded music, I think first way of recording music was to write down the notes for others to play it. Unfortunately, not everyone is a musician. Fortunately for most skilled musicians, playing well saved their lives in some situations(just think about cities conquered, and population slaughtered… with a few exceptions, including those who sang well enough to please the conquerors, and lucky enough to prove it before being killed without any questions).

As mankind entered the Industrial Era, recording sound became easier as time passed, but only in the last few decades music turned into something produced for (and consumed by – obviously) the masses. Before moving on to tackle the free, legal music downloads that are considered a real plague by some of those in the music industry(and by myself, but for different reasons), I must get a little personal…

… with some of my memories regarding music – how it was, and how it became. Back in my teenage years, grabbing a tape from the music store or – when I was lucky to have the money – a CD, was a real celebration. Needless to say how proud I was to find some rare vinyl recording, and how many times those tapes and CDs were played. Most of them are still around, and I get back to them everytime I want to summon pleasant memories. Back then, I treated music as a gift, and as something you don’t cross your path with every
